Montego Bay: Tropical drop waist dress

dress: DIY (similar styles here, herehere) | shoes: Pour La Victoire (buy here or here)

I wore this dress on our first night in Montego Bay. While I wore it with a bra for dinner, I took it off for blog photos. I must admit, aesthetically it looks better braless, however the conservative side of me cannot do it in every day life.

  1. You should try one of those bra band attachments that make it so you can wear low-back dresses! I can't go braless either. :)

  5. Really simple and classy all in one. Which pattern name and number did you use or could you do a tutorial for this?

    1. thank you. I didn't use a pattern, it was traced off an old dress.

  7. I totally get the bra-less predicament. I love low back or back less dresses but I am always deterred on the idea of going bra less or having to wear those sticky cup things. My solution is to wear a bandeau or bralette. Even though it defeats the purpose of a backless, at least it looks cute peeking out (as opposed to a straight up bra) and you get that coverage you need.
