This flower pin is the death of me. Does anyone know what I can do to stop it from fraying?

  3. Love that flower pin. Working on a pink one right now. Use one of those fray check consealants. I got mine from Joann fabrics. It dries clear and just seals it. They come in little bottles/tubes.

  6. You can either melt the edges or use a sealer (they look like clear glue?). I know they sell stuff like that craft stores.

  7. The colour composition in the first photo is absolutely stunning! The red really brings out the blue in the sky and vice versa.

  12. Absolutely stunning photos! Love the cherry blossoms and the contrast of the red pin and lips.

Yes, fray check will work wonders! However, test in an inconspicuous spot. Depending upon the fabric, it is possible for it to stain.

  20. the sealer doesn't work very well when it's frayed more than 1/6 of an inch (or 0.5cm). What worked for me (my mother was a tailor) was turning on the cook top on medium, then place the edge where fraying starts about a couple of inches above it. The heat sort of melts and seals it neatly.
