The New Year

DIY faux fur vest (similar for under $40 here & here) & feather skirt (similar, dress version by Asos), Sequin shirt: J.Crew (similar, similar) Shoes: YSL (similar, similar), Clutch: made by Janelle, Belt: BCBG (similar, similar)

I was playing around with the these two looks while deciding what to wear for NYE. Ultimately, I didn't wear either because Darren & I opted for the couch, TV and take-out instead. Hope your NYE was more eventful than ours. Happy New Year everyone!

  6. Both outfits would be great for NYE. Unfortunately, I was (and still am) so sick to the point that I couldn't get off the couch. Not by choice but we spent NYE at home in front of the TV as well =)

  12. Happy New Year, Khatu!!

Woman, you are so damn freakin' talented with your sewing skillz. Seriously!! I'm making me a feather skirt now. BTW, I'm guess your used feather trim? Or did you hand stitch every single one of those babies?!

I made a feather skirt for a plus size woman last semester. I hand dyed all the feathers. Oh was it a process to make that skirt, but it was fabulous. I wish that dang thing fit me!

Well, here's to a fabulous new year!!!

    xx Love & Aloha

  20. Soooo impressed with your DIY skills, Khatu. I want to take a lesson from you sometime! I like the second outfit more, I think because it shows off your slim figure better, but both outfits are stellar.

I ended up staying in for New Year's, too, since the man friend was really sick--which was fine because we went out pretty hard the night before!

Happy New Year to you and Darren!
