PFC #9 - Heat Wave Appropriate

PFC #9 -"...Create an outfit that accounts for the various environmental factors that plague us in the summer. I want to know how you dress when it's 90 degrees outside and 65 degrees inside."

When Elle first announced the challenge, I told her the easiest solution is a space heater. She probably thought I was kidding, but I was dead serious. I’m the type that gets cold with just a light breeze, so for me, the office feels like the northpole... After freezing my butt off for an entire summer, I finally decided to get a space heater last fall. (During the winter months I also use it to dry off my wet boots.) And now that I have it, I tend to wear whatever I want on most days.
For this challenge, I thought layering with a cardigan or a blazer was too obvious, so I decided to take a different approach. I wanted something simple but yet functional, versatile and easily transitional for any situation – hot, cold, work, dinner or running errands, and etc. With that in mind, here’s what I came up with.

F21 top & sweater, Zara skirt, CR shoes, Necklaces-J.Crew & Francesca's Boutique

I wouldn't necessarily sport the first two looks around the office, being that it's a halter top and all. But don't let appropriateness stop you from doing it, I won't judge.....

  1. You look so cute, Khatu!! Loving that sweater!

Lol! about the space heater...very true!! When our heat system was down for a few weeks, my school bought some space heaters for our classrooms. Even when the heat was working again, I hoarded mine in my room for as long as I could! :p

  7. I always look forward to your entry. Your creativity never cease to amaze me. Love all three, but my favorite would have to be the first.

There's only 7 women at my office and we often joke that they should stick all of us in the warmest room. But since they don't, we huddle around this one lady who has a space heater as often as we can instead.

  20. Yeah, I'm 100% on board with this style. It's more neutral than I'm used to seeing on you, but it still has the alluring dare of the outfits I know you can pull off.

Lookin' luxurious and gorgeous as always.
