A girl can dream

DNKY jacket, Zara skirt, vintage Missoni sweater, Prada shoes, CC purse

Last Friday, I tweeted about going here to pick out a birthday present (which is not for another month) and left with this. OK, I'm lying! But a girl can dream, right?! I didn't leave with a Birkin, I didn't leave with anything actually. They didn't have what I was looking for! Fiance said since I'm going to Europe in about a month, I should just get it there. He does have a good point, why didn't I think of that? Dumb. With that said, I heard shopping in Europe is amazing, but is it cheaper? Is it worth it?? How are the savings??? Tell me!

  1. Not sure about Hermes, but I had friends who bought Longchamp duty free at the Paris airport & saved quite a bit.

Also heard that Prada was cheaper in Italy, and that outlets there are great.

Have fun!!! I'll shop vicariously through you. :)

  2. I just bought the exact same skirt but in color white.. I couldn't find my size in color pink so I chose white instead.

Speaking of the shopping in Europe, if you're going to Spain I truly recommend u go to Zara, its super super cheap (not even compare to the prices in the US) and most of the time they have items on sale.

Also u should chek Stradivarius.. amazing shop!!

    Happy shopping :)

  3. Turns out, they do have a couple Hermes shops at the airport:

Just look under each terminal (I found several). I hope they are larger than the one at SF International, which was just a little storefront w/ the bare minimum.

    Good Luck!

  8. Cute green skirt adore the color! Yes shopping in Europe is fantastic! I try to hoard all my money so I can buy lots of Chanel when I'm in. Europe! They also have special edition louboutins at the Paris stores and they're cheaper than in the US!

  10. There is definitely better shopping in Europe, but it's a gamble as to whether it's cheaper. I'd go out on a limb and say it's more expensive, especially because of exchange rates. It also depends on where you're going. London and Paris will definitely be more expensive. Germany, maybe less so? All in all, I think you may get better prices if prices are in EU rather than in British Pounds. But the shopping is definitely more pricy, especially if the EU's currency has gained value while our dollar has lowered in value (which it has). Though, there may be some good clearances there.

I love your green skirt. Only you and Jen of HerWaiseChoice know how to do color so well.

  14. Super cute pictures, Khatu! Sweet smile and lovely hair. The outfit is a nice mix of tough and girly. The motorcycle jacket surely adds the edge to offset the colorful outfit. You look beautiful!
